Hi librarians, I have a teacher that does the Marcia Freeman writing - actually our whole school does. One teacher asked me to locate books that have certain "beginning" characteristics., so they can give an example. 1.Give a startling fact. 2. Ask a question. 3. Use a sound. 4. Describe the setting. 5. Begin with a dialogue. Does anyone have any ideas off the top of their head of some picture books that may be helpful- I am doing some searching and thought if anyone has any ideas of picture books? Or perhaps a place (website, etc.) where I could look to find specific books? Thank you Nan L.
