[LM_NET] TAR: Source of this quote?

I'm also the senior class sponsor this year and they've chosen their class quote. 
Online it's been attributed to either Ralph Waldo Emerson or Oliver Wendell Holmes.
 
Here's the quote:
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies 
within us.
 
I checked my copy of Bartlett's Familiar Quotations and couldn't find it at all. 
Can you help me track down a source for this quote?
