[LM_NET] Recipe: Romaine-Ramen Salad

Romaine-Ramen Salad

 

 

Salad:

1 c. chopped walnuts  

1 pkg. Ramen noodle soup mix (just the noodles-not the seasoning packet)

4 tbsp. butter or margarine

1 or 2 heads Romaine lettuce (or 1 or 2 large pkg. prepared Romaine or baby Romaine 
lettuce)

1 bunch broccoli, broken in small pieces

4 or 5 green onions and tops, chopped

 

Brown noodles (broken into fine pieces) and walnuts in butter at low heat.  Cool  
Mix all of the above ingredients.  Add dressing (below) just before serving.  
Broccoli may be omitted, if you prefer.

 

Dressing:

¼  c. oil                                                           ¼  c. red wine 
vinegar

¼  c. sugar                                                       1 to 1 ½  tbs. 
soy sauce (or less - to taste)

 

Mix all ingredients well, and mix again just before adding to the salad. 

 

Note:  The salad and dressing can be prepared in advance and refrigerated until 
serving time.  Just wait until serving to add the dressing.
