[LM_NET] budget freeze

I am a new Media Specialist this year after being a classroom teacher
for 17 years.  The principal told me that our budget might be frozen, so
I should spend all my book money by the end of December.  So I've been
researching books, and deciding what to order.  Well, today she told me
the budget was already frozen - before I could place any orders.  So
does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get some money to buy
books this year for our elementary Media Center?  Do you know of any
grants, or have any creative suggestions as to how I can earn some money
for books?  I feel terrible about not ordering earlier - I'm willing to
do just about anything!
