I am having a discussion with a teacher who is going to do a PhotoStory type project with his students. I happened to hear him say something to the students about "going out and finding pictures" the following day. I spoke to him about teaching students that they need to have attribution information for photos that they use for their work. *(e.g., Library Books*. Photograph. *School of Cooperative Individualism Library*. School of Cooperative Individualism. Web. 1 Oct. 2009. < http://www.cooperativeindividualism.org/library-books.jpg> ) Normally, students will just go to Google Images and just pick a photo and copy it into their work. It's easy to show them what info to get and how to format it when you're doing one photo at a time. I'm wondering about a good system to organize this information when students are collecting lots of images. It's not possible to put all the information in the file name. I supposed they could number the images and then have a separate list with all the attribution information they need. Or they could save all the files in a Word document with info below it. But I know there MUST be a better way. What do you suggest? -- Rena Deutsch, Librarian Seward Park Campus Schools 350 Grand St. New York, NY 10002 (212) 475-4148 x435 rdlibnyc@gmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
