[LM_NET] author visits for NY area

I am on the committee to pick an author for this year's visit.  This is my
first year in the library and even though the committee makes the final say
about who will come, I will be doing the research and finalizing of the
visit. Please let me know if you have had an author come to your school, the
cost and if they were worth it. My school is a K-4 school with 760 students
and my budget I have for the visit is about 1,100. I live in the New York
Metro area, I would love any suggestions you have. Thanks so much!!
