To get teachers excited about reading, I would read them some excerpts
from great books. Touching Spirit Bear, Surviving the Applewhites, The
Uglies, Higher Power of Lucky, are a few that come to mind. Let them
hear how amazing these books actually are by reading some juicy parts.
Or do book talks on some of the excellent books.

RE: If you had the opportunity to talk to a group of future junior high
or high school English teachers---what would you say or do to get them
interested/enthused/maybe even 'excited' about reading young adult
literature??

(I have about 30 minutes--so this can't be too involved)
