Thanks to the 49 people who replied to my original post:

How do you shelve your series of 39 Clues? Separately by author, grouped together
(if so, where?) If by author, do you have a sign or something to show where to
find the rest of the series?

Results:

1 LOL, I never get to shelve them, they are always out (my favorite response)

14 F THI

11 by series (some within Fiction by series title and some in a separate "Series"
section)

6 by individual authors

5 F RIO (all of the series even those with different author)

4 F 39Cl or F 39CLU

3 F CLU
2 New Book section
2 Listed in "Series" notebooks
1 SER THE

***Helpful Comments***

*** I keep a 3-ring Binder labeled "Series" Notebook. I print off different series
in keep them in alphabetical order.
http://www.mcpl.lib.mo.us/readers/series/juv/title.cfm This is a great site -it
has tons of series -and stays updated!!

*** by the author. I think it adds to the fun of the mystery for the kids to hunt
for the next book. Plus it gives them a chance to see some of each author's other
works. Many times they check out the 39 clues book and then come back for more
books by that same author. Works well so far with my 6th, 7th, and 8th graders!

*** by the author We have a "Readers Advisory" notebook at the front
counter/check-out desk that lists lots of things, one of which is this series, with
each title and the author.
