[LM_NET] TAG: Looking for a book

I have a student looking for a book - here is the description he gave me...

"It is a story about a boy named "walker" he is 12 years old and he finds a stone 
and goes on a field trip tip gets zapped by lightning while holding the stone and 
falls into the fountain.  He gets taken into another world and there is another 
dude with a pet eagle who finds him and they get caught with the stone and go into 
a camp with an evil dictator who tells them what to do.  He escapes and they find a 
gypsy camp and they get caught again and the dud with the eagle leaves.  The evil 
camp leader send him into a dungeon and the find the other man."  It is part of a 
series and I have no idea what he is looking for.

Any help would be fabulous.
