[LM_NET] TAR: Help with starting church library

I am a high school librarian and the preacher at our small church has asked me to 
catalogue or put some order to our church library.

1.  Has anyone ever done this and how did you go about starting?  

I have approximately 150 books so it is a small undertaking to start our library 
with.  

2.  What kind of software should I look at?  I want something free or VERY 
inexpensive.

3.  Should I worry about barcoding everything now?  Would it be better to barcode 
it while the library is still small?

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

4.  Checkout, would you suggest signout sheets?  Or what?
