Thanks Barbara and others---membership actually has to be up-to-date by Jan. 31 to 
vote though first time or renewals should probably be started before that day so 
Jan. 14 is a good target! It's my personal renewal date so I will be sure to get it 
in on time.
If you are a member, voting is your voice! The campaign is already interesting; I 
do think it is the right time for a school librarian to speak for ALA. I have 
experience as a public library trustee and as an adjunct professor of information 
literacy and now at Mansfield in the SL & IT program so I know I can represent all 
libraries.

YES! And also, for those who do not have a current ALA membership, you
have until Jan 14 (I believe) to join & be eligible to vote. We need to
encourage fellow Librarians to take the time to join--a first time
membership is still a bargain.
