Thanks to all of you who shared ideas about how to help with writing our
library's use agreement for groups that want to meet in the school library.

I have posted the form to the LM-NET WIKI. The URL is
http://lmnet.wikispaces.com/Library+Use+Agreements+or+Contracts

Look in the Navigation menu on the left of the page for "Library Use
Agreements or Contracts." Unfortunately, the formatting did not come through
as well as I had hoped, but you will get the idea. Also, I could not figure
out how to post our library's floor plan also. The actual form we present
to the sponsor of any group has a copy of the floor plan attached so they
can place the furniture back the way it is supposed to be so the library is
ready for classes the next morning. Children are not allowed to eat in the
library.

The group requesting to meet in the library has to complete the form and
sign it, and arrange the date and time with the librarians.

I did check with our school district for their official form for "renting"
the space. We needed a form for groups affiliated with the school that are
not required to pay for using the space, such as PTA, educational
organizations, neighborhood-school-related groups, etc. I also checked the
forms that our local public library uses for reserving spaces for meetings.
All of those were helpful to me and my co-librarian in developing our form.
