[LM_NET] THANKS: Lingala Congo language

You are such an awesome, caring, helpful bunch!   I am so proud to be a part
of this group!  Many of you offered sympathy, prayers, translation website
and other suggestions.  Through another student who is from the Congo but
speaks French rather than Lingala - I think we have made her understand
about the books - I just haven't seen them yet  :-)      I will be preparing
some helpful graphics with clipart and photos of the books if I can locate
them on Titlewave, Amazon, etc. - since they of course are ones in my OPAC
with NO photos  :-(

i actually managed to find the word "buku" ="book" on one website - when i
saw the young lady in the bus line reading a paperback book her teacher had
allowed her to take home - i smiled and pointed to the book and said
"book?"  and  "buku?" and nodded and   she actually smiled at my efforts -
who knows if i got it right!   the next day after visiting the library she
smiled at me, waved and said "BYE!"  which is the first word she has spoken
directly to me since coming to our school.

and a special thanks to Carna G. in New York who actually lived in the Congo
for several years and sent me entire phrases that will be useful.
