Hello,

I apologize for the delay.  Many people asked to post a hit on vampire books with a
male protagonist:  Here are my results:

Cirque du Freak is extremely popular with our students and it has a male
protagonist.

Do you know Shan's Cirque du Freak series? Boys constantly check it out in middle
school

How about Heather Brewer's The Chronicles of Vladmir Todd, Eighth Grade Bites,
Ninth Grade Slays and Tenth Grade Bleeds.

Cirque du Freak series by Darren Shan
Anne Rice series

Cirque du Freak series- Movie just opened - The Vampire Assistant - film adaptation
of the first 3 books int he series

Peeps by Westerfeld

The Chronicles of Vladimir Todd, by Heather Brewer.  We can't keep them on the

the Anne Rice books
Jim Butcher's "Dresden File" series
P.N. Elrod's "Vampire Files" series
Charlaine Harris's "Southern Vampire" series

How about the Chronicles of Vladimir Tod series, by Heather Brewer?

It's maybe a little low for HS, but it's the only thing I can think of.

Oh, and the Cirque du Freak series by Darren Shan, but it's also low.  Very popular
with my middle school students!

Try the following books by Scott Westerfeld: PEEPS, THE LAST DAYS. Westerfeld has
also written a trilogy called THE MIDNIGHTERS. It's about teenage vampires. All of
these books are available in paperback. Check them out at Amazon or Barnes & Noble
for story lines. Westerfeld wrote the books Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras

Peeps by Scott Westerfeld has a male protagonist. There is some relationship
building, but it's a far cry from the stalker-ish obsession style of love in the
Meyer series.
