Dear Netters: I don't do a lot of reading to my fifth graders, but I'd like to try with Jon Muth's "The Three Questions," and, "Zen Shorts." The "Zen Shorts" I would break up into three sessions. I'm not so sure these kids would be big on discussion, but I would like to have them maybe do some written work with the stories. I've looked on various lesson plan sites and not seeing anything that grabs my attention. Anyone have any good plans, ideas, suggestions, or things you've done with these books?
