For those who might be interested: OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY'S COLLEGE OF EDUCATION Lecturer Educational Technology/School Library Media POSITION: The Oklahoma State University College of Education, School of Educational Studies, Educational Technology Program, is seeking a qualified applicant for a Lecturer position. RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a nine-month academic year appointment in the Educational Technology Program. The responsibility for the position includes teaching a total of seven undergraduate or graduate courses during the academic year (fall and spring semesters). Five of the seven courses are specific to certification as a school library media specialist. Others are related to teaching with technology for pre-service teachers. Additional responsibilities include recruiting and advising students pursuing school library media certification. The appointment will begin August 16, 2010, contingent upon available funding. GENERAL INFORMATION: Oklahoma State University is a Land Grant University dedicated to teaching, research and service. The Educational Technology program offers a Master of Science degree with options in Educational Technology and School Library Media. The program also offers undergraduate courses in educational technology for professional education programs as well as a specialization in educational technology within the Ph.D. in Education degree. The program is located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, but much of the curriculum is delivered in an online format. QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals seeking this position must possess an earned Masters Degree (School Library Media experience and a doctoral degree are preferred) and must be able to work cooperatively with faculty and staff as well as demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills promoting collegiality and collaboration.
