Because our soon-to-be-adopted reading series includes many CDs for student listening stations, we're in need of many new CD players. None purchased in the past 10 years have proven reliable/durable enough for classroom use. Question: Which brands/models have you found to hold up for elementary classroom use? (Assume K-2 students will be in control!) Parallel consideration/question: Might there be an mp3 solution that takes the CD out of direct use? Has anyone worked with a textbook publisher re: digital rights transfer of their CD materials to the mp3 format for less cumbersome use/portability/durability by students? Oh, what interesting times we live in! So many decisions to be made with the advent of "new" media. .-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+ Marcia Dressel, K-5 Librarian @ the Elementary and Intermediate Schools Osceola, WI dressel@osceola.k12.wi.us <mailto:dressel@osceola.k12.wi.us> http://www.myteacherpages.com/webpages/MDressel/ .-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+ -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
