sorry all.... should have been more informative...
Our committee has shied away from Watson's due to our 5th grade class focusing on
it. We are trying to connect families in the building along with doing things at
school based on a particular book. Next year is our building's 50th anniversary
and we are trying to find a book that we could send home with students to read with
their families that are based in the 1960s. Our original thought was the Watson's
but found out that the 5th grade was very intense in that book and we didn't want
to take away from that grades curric. Another thought would be Mitch and Amy by
Beverly Cleary. But we would love other titles to work off of. We want to take
the book and then do activities that could relate to that book or time period.
Once we get a title or two then we'd go from there.
Again, I'd be happy to share the list and even what our activities would be.
