Hello everyone, I have a high school Social Studies teacher who is interested in compiling excerpts from various fiction and non-fiction books from our library to share with her students. She hopes to give them short bits of narrative for particular topics such as the genocide in Rwanda and then perhaps entice students to read more on their own. My question is if we scanned certain pages from books in our collection and she posted those excerpts on her website, is that a violation of copyright? Thanks, Joanna Arkans JArkans@hvc.rr.com Librarian New Paltz High School New Paltz, NY -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
