What is the the best strategy for building and maintaining the middle school reference collection with shrinking library budgets? Should a Library Media Specialist purchase print, nonprint, or both? I would prefer to have both types of references, print and nonprint, available for the students; however, diminishing library funds forces the debate. How should library funds be spent on print and nonprint references? Which is better for the students? Print? Nonprint?
