Welcome to this week’s update on
. (April 12, 2010) We have been in existence for six weeks. There have
been 7,072 trailer downloads from the site, and we have 78 trailers in all.
The group on Teacher
has 1,385 members.
If this is the first time you are hearing about these book trailer sharing
avenues, please view the “Documents” folder at BTFA.

Before I give the weekly update information, I would like to reiterate the
importance of using only royalty free images and music. We had a trailer
removed this week, because admin at 4shared found it to be in violation of
copyright guidelines. We are in the process of finding music that does not
violate copyright so we can get the trailer re-posted.

If you have uploaded the trailers into your circulation program, and are
willing to send me the EXACT, specific steps for doing so, that would be
great. I would like to set up a document folder with directions for the
various systems that are being used. (A specific request came in for
Destiny 9.0, but I thought this might be useful to have for everyone)

*We have added two new trailers to the site this week. (There was another
trailer added to the TT group page, but I can’t get it into 4shared until
the creator contacts me) They are:*

*Stolen <>*, by Vivian
Vande Velde, created by Sarah Loch of Midwest City, Oklahoma. (Middle Grade
Interest Level)

Crazy Beautiful<>,
by Lauren Baratz-Logsted, created by Sherry Thompson of Flower Mound, Texas
(Middle Grade+ Interest Level)

*A large number of trailers were downloaded once again this week. The top
three downloads were: *

* *

*14 Cows for America*, created by Sangeeta Garg of Missouri City, Texas,
with a total of 81 downloads

*All the Lovely Bad Ones*, created by Analine Johnson, with 78 downloads

*The Battle of the Labyrinth*, created by a 5th Grade Student, with 32

As I stated last week, *I will no longer be requiring trailer creators to
join the TT group in order to have their videos included at BTFA.*

So, if you have a trailer, and the capability to send it to me via an email
attachment, I’ll take care of the rest. (I will continue to make the
trailers available at TT, since for some people, this is the only avenue
they have for viewing the trailers.)

OR, if you’d rather set up your own (free, extremely easy) user account at and upload your trailer there, and then send me the link so
I can add it to the trailers at BTFA, that’s fine too. For directions,
please see last week’s update doc, located in the “Documents” folder at BTFA

Remember, if you are on FB, feel free to go and become a fan of the page. Each
time a new trailer is uploaded, it will be posted to the BTFA wall on FB. The
URL for that is:

There is also an update added to Twitter each time a new trailer is
uploaded. Feel free to follow me to get those updates:

Have a fantastic week!
