Subject: HIT: Adhesive removal

Thanks to everyone for the interesting ideas, from food to beauty
products.

Here's a list of ideas to remove label/sticker adhesive safely from
wood:

WD-40
Baby oil
Scotch Sticker and Adhesive Remover Pen (Staples, Highsmith, etc.)
Peanut Butter
Simple Green
Helman's Mayonnaise
Nail polish remover
Murphy's Oil Soap
Rubbing alcohol
Baby oil
UnDo (Brodart, etc.)
White vinegar
Book cleaner paste (Demco)
Heat gun
Johnson's Paste Wax
Crisco, vegetable oil
Avon Skin-So-Soft Bath Oil
Lighter fluid

Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles,
discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things
distinguishes the strong soul from the weak. Thomas Carlyle
