I am not very happy with Amazon right now. I bought the paperback version of "The
Global Achievement Gap" by Tony Wagner. It is a terrific book. I have been
underlining and taking margin notes like crazy. The problem? When I reached page
195, it skipped to page 219. I contacted Amazon, asking them to send me the
missing pages and explaining that I did not want a new book, because I want to keep
my current one with the underlining and margin notes. Seems that they are unable
to send me the missing pages. I can return the book for a replacement copy, or
they will send me a new one at a 25% discount. Neither of those choices is
acceptable to me.

I've tried to find it in a local library - but there are no copies of the paperback
available anywhere. So - I am turning to this group.

If you have the paperback version and are willing to scan the missing pages and
send them to me - I would be VERY appreciative. It is the paperback version, and I
am missing page 195 through (and including) page 218.

If no one can do that, I guess I will keep trying to get Amazon to do the right
thing. Thanks!!

For those of you who have not read the book - it is excellent. Really makes a
clear case for the direction education needs to take. Unfortunately, the author did
not consider libraries. I see our standards all through the book - and yet, once
again, we are ignored. So - I am energized by the ideas, but frustrated that it is
missing more than just a few pages :-(

I might have to contact the author to get the missing pages - and let him know what
else the book is missing :-)
