[LM_NET] Job Announcement: Temporary Academic Librarian (North Hollywood, CA)

LAC seeks for *immediate consideration* a Full-time Temporary Academic Librarian 
for an academic library located in the NoHo Arts District (North Hollywood, CA). 
The Librarian will be responsible for reference, cataloging, and information 
literacy instruction to the campus community.  This position is within walking 
distance from the Metro Red Line.

Responsibilities:

*         Reference assistance to patrons.

*         Assist with Acquisitions and Materials processing.

*         Oversee student workers including making sure there is Circulation 
coverage.

*         Catalog library materials in MARC format, using AACR2R, LCSH or other 
schema, as required by the school.

*         Use OCLC or alternative to obtain copy cataloging, do original 
cataloging, and edit accordingly.



Qualifications:

*         Master's Degree in Library, Information Science, or related from an ALA 
accredited school.
*         Experience working in an academic institution.
*         Web editing and web technology proficieny, desired.
*         Knowledge of art, design and multimedia related subjects, a plus.
*         Experience with Voyager (ILS) preferred OCLC, MARC records and current 
technologies.
