Hi Everyone: We are in the process of creating a summer reading incentive program based on student choice reading. In the past, we've had optional reading challenges which, of course, have the students that normally read participate. This year we are considering a reading assignment for the summer . . . a book a month with a very simple verification assignment. Once again, the kids that already read will do it and those that don't won't. Wondering if any of you have successful summer reading programs (optional or assignment based) on student choice books that non-readers participate in? Thank you in advance for any handy tips you can share. I'll gladly post a hit.
