On Sunday, I blogged an interview that Neil Gaiman give, in which he said "a few dead Indians." A few hours later, a person wrote about my blog on LiveJournal. Later, Gaiman read what I wrote, commented, and then, tweeted what the LJ said. The word "racist" began to appear in the dialogue. Gaiman's fans came to my site, defending him. I've compiled a chronological timeline of the episode and my thoughts on it. http://tinyurl.com/Following-up-Gaiman Also, if you're near State College, PA, I'll be there this Friday to give a free lecture. It'll be from 4 to 5:30, 101 Chambers Building, Penn State. Debbie Visit my Internet resource: American Indians in Children's Literature http://americanindiansinchildrensliterature.net Debbie A.
