Dear colleagues. I know some of you have purchased e-readers for personal use and for school use. My husband wants to get me one for Mother's Day (he's a sweetie). We have been looking into the various ones. Our public library has on its ebooks pages a list of compatible e-readers. It lists both the Nook and the Sony Daily Edition. So far, I am leaning toward the Sony as it has Wi-Fi capabilities and that would be even more convenient for me, although, I recently heard that Nook also has Wi-Fi. However, before I have him invest $400 in one, I would like to hear from any of you who have been using these devices. I feel almost like a traitor as I have always really enjoyed having the physical book in my hands. But, as with most things these days, I have to keep up with the latest in technology or be in danger of being considered an old fossil, which given my age, is not exactly a wrong assumption. LOL Please respond to me off list and I will be glad to share findings with anyone who is interested.
