ALA is drafting comments for the National Education Technology Plan
(http://www.ed.gov/sites/default/files/NETP-2010-final-report.pdf) and I
am looking for some examples from school librarians that really
highlight the work you do in supporting learning using different
technologies. Examples of collaborating with classroom teachers on
developing innovative uses of technology would also be useful.

Do you have examples of collaborating with teachers to create innovative
and engaging learning opportunities using technology?

The Plan talks about "purposeful uses" of technology. Do you have
examples of enriching current curriculum by incorporating various
technologies (e.g., blogs, multimedia applications)

What kinds of things do you do that support differentiated learning?
Activities/resources for "at-risk" students?

What activities do you do that support learning outside of school hours?

Any examples of projects you have contributed to that highlight the
school librarian as being an integral "team member?"

Any general examples you have of using technology to enrich what you
already do?

Any general examples of teaching digital literacy skills?

General issues that prevent you from doing what you'd like to do with
technology in your libraries?

Please send responses to Marijke Visser at the ALA Washington Office.
Her email is mvisser@alawash.org

Thanks!
