Hello,
A couple of weeks ago I was using our new "Lion and the Mouse" by Pinkney, which I
bought from Follett. We were also watching Jerry Pinkney on
YouTube discussing the book when I noticed that the video shows that at the end of
the book there is a full page spread of the lion family with the
mouse family on the dad lion's back. Well, my book only has the left side of this
spread, so we only see the tail ends of the lion parents. I called Follett
and they sent out a new one. I was told that no other librarians had asked for a
replacement, so it must be a fluke. My new copy came in today and it
looks exactly the same. One of our other schools in the district bought their copy
from Border's and they confirmed that mine is defective. So, Follett is
sending me a third copy.
If you bought your copy from Follett, you might want to take a look and see if you
have a defective one too. If I hadn't seen the correct spread on
YouTube, I would have just kept thinking it was a really weird picture.
