My original post requested titles that could help a colleague's daughter interact 
with her uncle who is in a wheelchair.

This was the #1 favorite:   Zoom by Robert Munsch.  He reads the book on his 
website.

The second most frequently recommended book was Mama Zooms by Jane Cowen-Fletcher
