I have a new English teacher who asked me to give him a list of books for his students. I asked for a clarification, and he only said 8th grade reading level and above. I asked if there was a theme but all he could describe was that he didn't want them to choose the Orca books because they were choosing them because they are short. So, he just wanted a list of books. I did suggest they use our Destiny catalog to search for books on topics of interest (we have enough computers for each student to do that at one time), but he just wanted a list. It seems like an odd request, but at least he had a request! Any suggestions of popular books to put on the list?
