LM_NET Archive



There is a great article in this month's  (May/June, 2010) LMC magazine about 
weeding, especially why. "Weed 'em and Reap: The Art of Weeding to Avoid 
Criticism," by Melissa Allen.   Perhaps you can give her a copy of the article and 
explain that weeding is part of a librarian's job and that you are doing service to 
the library and the students (and even the teachers).

Does your school/district have a Library Services Manual?  If yes, weeding is 
probably in there, too.
