A very few textbooks are available for e-readers. The main problem is that textbooks tend to make heavy use of color, and no e-readers (except the iPad, which arguably isn't an e-reader per se) have color screens. Color images are either ignored, or rendered in grayscale, usually 16 shade. Screen size is also an issue.
