If you prefer to hear the name aloud, TeachingBooks.com is helpful. (It is an
affordable subscription database with many helpful areas for elementary and
secondary school students and teachers. I don't work for them, so this isn't a
pitch, but they have been very helpful to us in every way, and offer free trials.)
They have recordings of authors (Gaiman is one of them) prounouncing their own
names. Neil Gaiman's 30-second recording (in his delightful English accent) gives
a tiny bit of his name's history, and clearly pronounces it several times.
(GAY-mun) with the stress on GAY and the "mun" syllable sort of swallowed.
