Hi - Some popular titles for girls are the Beacon Street Girls series, the Candy Apple Girls series and the Lasky Ga'Hoole books. My boys like books by Matt Christopher, Mike Lupica, and Dan Gutman. Jon Scieszka's newest is sure to be a hit. I personally like the Caroline Lawrence ancient Rome series but it hasn't clicked with my students. I think the Red Pyramid will be popular with the same audience.
