[LM_NET] TAR: Elementary Openers?

I know that some of you may have already started school, but that soon we will all 
be back.  I'm curious what books you will be using for your first week back with 
your elementary students.  With my preschoolers, kindergarteners and first graders 
I will be reading/singing Toni Buzzeo's The Library Doors 
(http://www.amazon.com/Library-Doors-Toni-Buzzeo/dp/160213037X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1281570697&sr=1-1)
 , but I'm still unsettled for books for the grades 2-5 crowd.
 
I also do a bit on book care and show graphic examples of books that were not cared 
for properly.
 
What are you reading for that first week?
