[LM_NET] SEC: TARGET: Books like the Black Book series by Jonah Black

Dear LM-Netters,

Is there another series/or book that is as good as the Black Book series
by Jonah Black that will entice reluctant freshman boys to read???  

A freshman English teacher who is VERY supportive of reading and the
library asked me Friday if I could do some research and try to find some
books similar to those.   She said that every time she recommends one to a
reluctant reader he loves it and wants other books. The boys always like
the books...which is FANTASTIC!  We get excited when our reluctant readers
LIKE/WANT to read!  :-)

Of course I thought of you all to offer suggestions!  Thanks in advance!!
