This answer seems to sum it up pretty well: "YouTube has its copyright guidelines here: http://www.youtube.com/t/howto_copyright It's pretty much an honor system with procedures in place for egregious violations. As long as the YouTube content is supporting face-to-face instruction and is not being copied or redistributed, fair use applies." Original Question - what procedures are in place to assure users of YouTube that they are not violating copyright? A teacher wants to use some clips in class for teaching. I directed him to TeacherTube (which has link to United Streaming) but in the meantime, any one know? I will also look at the site itself, but in case one of you has already checked it out....
