Dear Alice & All,

Contacting national decision makers is a GREAT idea and when lots of us
speak, it is extremely effective.

It is important to know that when snail mail is sent to DC government
offices it sits in Virginia for weeks. There it is irradiated and ends
up brown and crispy. The best way to send a letter is via FAX or
email. FAX the White House at 202-456-2461. To email, go to:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact.

Phone calls are quick and easy and they count too. There are two phone
numbers for the White House: Comments: 202-456-1111
and the White House Switchboard: 202-456-1414.

This is a representative democracy. Take five minutes and make certain
that YOUR voice is heard. Do it for your students!
