I use it and love it. Far better than anything else out there, even
Adobe's. Not so much with students, since we don't have a site license,
but I'm creating a series of video tutorials for the library website.
Trying to do all my lessons, so students who miss can watch them online.

The Windows version has more capabilities than the Mac version, since it's
been around longer, but I've used them both. The Mac one will really
outshine Camtasia Studio as they upgrade it. Both allow editing, adding
callouts and text, etc. Studio, as I said, has additional capabilities,
such as adding quizzes, Flash hotspots, picture-in-picture, etc.
Especially useful as both versions allow you to save the video in
different formats. Adobe's screen capture software only saves as a flash
file (at least the last time I looked), which means you can't edit it in,
say, iMovie.

While Camtasia Studio is in Version 6, I have Camtasia 5 tutorial book
(with DVD) that I'd be happy to give away. Just pay the postage! : )
