[LM_NET] Library Makeover Finalist: Please vote for us/ Mesa Vista MHS

Dear All,
I may not be the only member on this listserv that has made it to the finalists 
stage in the Acer  “Library Makeover” contest, but we have a huge need here and 
I would really appreciate your vote!

We (Mesa Vista Middle and High School) can win if we get the most votes on their

The winning school gets 12 laptop computers and 2 desktop computers from Acer. I 
know the economy has hit hard just about everywhere, but in a district of only 500 
kids, we are looking at having to cut almost $170,000 from this year’s budget and 
up to another $200,000 from next year’s budget. About 80% of our kids qualify for 
the free and reduced lunch program, we have a lot of “big city” problems but 
are actually almost two hours away from the nearest city (Santa Fe). There is 
definitely a need for these computers and we have many good kids who will put them 
to use.
