[LM_NET] Sharing: LM_Net winning acclaim with parents and admin (and making me really popular!)

Hi Everybody!

Last year, I shared this link (that I got through LM_Net see

with our Admin Assistant:

I was amazed to find out how well it was well received!
It costs the school about $150.00 but saved lots of work for our office staff 
(we're talking days).  She even gave me a rose in a staff meeting for it!
It was also VERY popular with our parent community as our school used pickatime 
last fall for setting up parent teacher interviews.  They just cheered and gave me 
a round of applause at the PAC meeting this morning for it!!!

While I felt self-conscious to be singled out, I was so proud of our LM_Net 
community and felt so valued/valuable and appreciated!
It was a great way to raise the profile of the Library. It also highlighted the 
part of our role where we try to keep our colleagues informed about useful tools 
they can implement.

It fit right in with an article (also from LM_Net) about Gen X and post Gen X 
parents I recently passed along to our Principal which he really appreciated.  It 
has led to several great conversations on the topic.  This article of interest for 
anyone on the front lines of communication with parents in a school.
