Here is a summary of the responses I got regarding what people are using to
create digital portfolios for themselves to present their CV or professional
accomplishments:

I just created one for Seminar through the School Library & Information Tech
program at mansfield Univ. Have a look...

I have one (that needs updating) as a wiki on pbwiki (which has now changed
it's name to pbworks, but it's still really easy to use). I like using a
wiki for a portfolio because it's easy to upload different kinds of formats,
like word docs, or to embed media or link from other sites. Also you can
customize the menus and navigation easily.

Hope that helps.

You may be looking at things backwards--a wiki or a blog would be examples
of your skills. They should be a part of what is referenced in your
portfolio--not the portfolio itself. A web page would be a good format for
your portfolio, and you could use it to present (link to) the examples of
what you can do. It could include links to a blog you have designed with
goals of helping, informing and offering insight to others and a wiki which
shows input from students, teachers or colleagues as well as your own work.
And, of course, the design of the website would still be an example of your
skills when used in that way.

Shari,

You might want to look at the website http://coatt.net. This is the revamped
site of the electronic portfolios that were created by pre-service and
in-service teachers for technology aware from the State Board of Ed.

We use to use a template, but with all the 2.0 apps out there we didn't
include one. I might suggest using http://weebly.com which is easy to use
and can contain just about any file format.
