Here is a hit on wrestling magazines!
Original post:
I am looking into ordering a wrestling magazine for my 7th/8th grade campus. I
found that there are two WWE magazines, one is WWE Kids and the other just WWE.
Students claim that WWE KIDS is for elementary aged and are wanting the regular
WWE. Does anyone have experience with either of these and can shed light on age
appropriateness?

Responses:
I purchased both for review and didn't find anything offensive in the regular WWE.
There was one Fan of the Month feature that had a girl in a bikini but it was not
something my middle schoolers haven't seen.

Granted, this is only 1 issue, but I plan on adding it to my collection.

Are you looking for the Hulk Hogan type wrestling or the good stuff: the sport in
schools? (My son is a wrestling coach and I asked him, this was his question.)
Good question that I hadn't thought about!

I would suggest wrestling USA. Covers national high school and collegiate
wrestlers. It also has great articles.

I am getting WWE Kids for my K-5 school. It is mostly OK. I worry about the word
fart which is in it some, but nobody seems to think about using that word any more.
So far, no complaints. The kids love it! That includes my grade 5 boys. I think I
would be afraid of WWE for adults!

I would be real careful about the content in the WWE, in particular the advertising.

Thanks so much for those who responded!
