I am a library and information science grad student and have been assigned to
create a fictional collection for a middle school grades 6-8. I have decided to
develop a collection on the Holocaust, and I can broaden that to World War II. Our
budget is $2500. I am struggling a bit with the background literature section.
One of the sections is called current publishing developments. I'm not sure what
I'm supposed to write for this, if anything at all. I was also wondering if anyone
could suggest some useful selection tools, or audio-visual materials? As far as
the types of publications I have chosen, so far I've put down graphic novels,
maps/atlases, encyclopedia, biographies/non-fiction, and fiction. If anyone has
any other suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I would LOVE any help!
