[LM_NET] Tar: MS author visit

Hi, gang,
 
I've been trying to find an author for our author visit this year.  I like to find 
authors of books I've read that appeal to me, but I also find possible authors, do 
some quick reading to see if I like their books also.  So far, this year, I am 
having trouble.  Either the authors (or their agents) don't respond or they want at 
least $3,000.  
 
Have you had a successful author visit in your middle school?  Can you recommend 
someone?  Thank you.
