Hey to my favorites. :)

This just goes to show you that you can look at something for a very
long time and still get new insight.

A statement in the US Supreme Court decision on CPA:

"Assuming that such erroneous blocking presents constitutional
difficulties, any such concerns are dispelled by the ease with which
patrons may have the filtering software disabled. When a patron
encounters a blocked site, he need only ask a librarian to unblock it or
(at least in the case of adults) disable the filter." United States v.
ALA. 539 U.S. 194 (2003).

Note: The Supreme Court said “a librarian. “ It did not say, the head
librarian, a committee of librarians, the library's technology services
department. The Supreme court said: “A LIBRARIAN.” Thus, “A SCHOOL
LIBRARIAN OR TEACHER” also should have the authority to override. The
court also noted “the ease” with which this can happen. Thus, overriding
should be quite rapid - rapid enough to meet the needs of the patron -
or student.
