In the ongoing quest to retrieve my wandering books I want to ask if you have any tried and true methods for getting back books that are vastly overdue. I speak to the student each week at checkout and print a bill or reminder slip for them and still I get no action. I'm always nice about it. Maybe I should be meaner, but I know for a fact that most of my students won't go to the public library because they owe books over there and are afraid of the staff. I just let them know how important that book is to our collection. Am I doing it wrong, or is it like that all over? -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
