[LM_NET] REQUEST: grade 3 reading level, grade 9 interest level

I have a boy in my school that only reads on a 3rd grade level. He is a 9th
grader. The special ed/resource teacher has been trying to read with him...
He will only read a paragraph and then she has to read a paragraph...  He
loves cowboys and he said he would like to read a book about aliens invading
the earth (from other planets).  We found a cowboy one he loved and read
from cover to cover for the first time... I found a couple of alien books
but they see to be too hard for him (White mountains & The dark side of
nowhere)  Do you have any suggestions (of cowboy or alien books) at a lower
reading level???

Thanks so much for your help. (It was so cool to finally find a book he
liked! Hope I can find another one!)
