Great job on the letter! 

Interestingly, Allison Druin, the researcher quoted in the article, is a professor 
in the UMD College of Information Studies, which grants MLS degrees with 
concentrations in School Library Media (the college where I got my degree, although 
I didn't have any classes with her). I agree, the article did neglect to mention 
the importance of school and public librarians, and Dr. Druin's quotes didn't 
address it either, but I can only assume she is aware.

The NYT had an article on children's search strategies (or the lack
thereof) last week.  Nowhere did they mention libraries or LMS.  Of
course.  So I fired off a letter, little thinking there would be any
result, and darned if they didn't print it.  It includes a link to the
original article.
